Designed and deliver instruction for North Central Michigan College’s first Computer Networking Program including a core of fourteen new Information Technologies courses. Developed a four-course certificate program for the delivery of Anishnaabemowin a language indigenous to Northern Michigan. Developed and delivered first online technology course at North Central.


During formative years volunteered to sit on the Constitution Formation Committee. Elected twice to sit on Tribal Council, served as Secretary. Serve on the Board of Regents, Bay Mills Community College. As the Tribe’s first Education Director, I implemented 6 new programs, Tribal Summer Youth Camp, Adult Vocational Training, College Scholarships, Tribal Library, U.S. Department of Education Adult Vocational Training, and Employment Assistance. Designed and built the Tribal Head Start facility. Coordinated the development of the Bay Mills Community College Outreach program in Petoskey. Designed and built the Tribe’s first computer-network used for data storage, office integration, and training. Wrote instructional design for and supervised to operation of the Tribal, US Department of Education, Office Services and Technology Program. Obtained a college credit articulation agreement with Bay Mills Community College for the business services program.


Certifications: Professional Engineer in Training, Microsoft Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer for both Windows NT 4.0, 2000 and many others up through 2012. Contracted by Bay Mills Community College as adjunct faculty teaching business and computer classes. For BMCC I taught or was the Master Instructor for Intro to Computers, Intro to the Internet, Word Processing, Spreadsheets, and Intro to Business. I also served on the Board of Regents for several years.

UNITED STATES NAVY, 1980 to 1988

Outstanding performance in initial two years of Nuclear Power School lead to position of Staff Instructor at the Naval Prototype Reactor Plant MARF, located in Balston Spa, N.Y. Through subsequent promotions and transfer to the USS ASPRO SSN 648 in 1984, I completed my naval career as a Submarine Qualified First Class Machinist Mate holding a Secret Security Clearance.

INSTRUCTOR US NAVY, 1981 to 1983

Served two years as a Prototype Instructor at the Balston Spa, Naval Nuclear Prototype Training Unit. During this time period I contributed to the Large Class and Fast Class plans, both exercises successfully demonstrated the Navy’s ability to produce qualified nuclear operators for rapid nuclear deployment. Normal duties consisted of both on the job and traditional settings for teaching nuclear plant operations.

USS ASPRO SSN 648, 1984 to 1988

As the designated Training Petty Officer, I developed and delivered the instruction for both the mechanical and radiological departments. Deployed in the Pacific Ocean from Pearl Harbor we eventually moved to Mare Island Naval Shipyard.
